My September 2019 Blog…

about my Nebraska Fort Cody show, benefit for Kendrick Castillo’s Robotics Team, upcoming September Colorado gigs and new time for Led Zeppelin show.

Fort Cody Show in North Platte, Nebraska

Paul Lechner with Big Daddy BOn August 8, I headlined the last of the 2019 Fort Cody Thursday Night Summer Music Series in North Platte, Nebraska. Although planned as outdoor concerts, it was raining so it was moved to the Ramada by Wyndham across the street but there was still a great turnout. The hosts, staff, volunteers and guests were great!

The local opener was Big Daddy B and The Wrecking Machine featuring friends Nate, Andrea and Rob! I had a fun time playing guitar with them covering House of the Rising Son at the end of their performance.

Benefit for Kendrick Castillo’s Robotics Team

Kendrick Castillo's Commemorative Pint GlassI was happy to donate a couple hours of music at Blue Spruce Brewing Company’s Centennial location during a benefit for the Highlands Ranch STEM School’s Robotics Team that Kendrick Castillo loved so much.

Theresa, one of the owners of Blue Spruce Brewing Company, was also a Spanish teacher at the STEM school and Kendrick had told his parents that she was one of his favorite teachers.

Money was raised by selling commemorative pint glasses of beer, with all proceeds going to the team.

Lone Tree Brewing Company taps their “Stairway to Heaven” triple IPA on this same day each year. My performance has traditionally been from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. but this year my show will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
