The Man
Paul began playing guitar at 15 years old while growing up in Texas. He was home sick one day watching and longing to join his friends outside so his Mom bought him a guitar to keep him occupied and guitars have kept him happily preoccupied ever since. Paul graduated from Lincoln High School in Denver, but his first live performance was with the Hip Pocket Theatre Band in Fort Worth, Texas. He has played with numerous bands throughout Colorado including Beggars Opera, Schizandra, Bump, Skip Notes, Sweet Mo, Trip Du Jour, Santa Fe and The Midnight Growlers. Paul’s last electric band gig was New Year’s Eve 2017 as he decided to focus his attention full-time on his solo career and songwriting.
Paul’s first solo acoustic gig was in 2012 at his favorite local brewery, Lone Tree Brewing Company in Colorado. Paul performed some of his original compositions along with cover songs of his favorite classic rock music. His Led Zeppelin covers were such a hit with the patrons and staff that Lone Tree Brewery has hired him to perform three hours of solo acoustic Led Zeppelin on December 26 of each year since 2013 – the anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s first United States appearance opening for Vanilla Fudge at the Auditorium Arena in Denver. Lone Tree Brewing Company also commemorates this historic day with the tapping of one of their seasonal favorites Stairway to Heaven Triple IPA.
The audience loved Paul and the requests came in to play for their weddings, birthday parties, celebrations of life, work events and even grand openings of other breweries. Paul is always complimented on his great variety of music that appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds and he realized that he could really make his dream come true of a full-time solo musician. He now has added numerous breweries, wineries, tap houses, distilleries, restaurants, bars and even garden centers to his venues. Private parties and non-profit events are a favorite of his to play as well.
Paul’s musical repertoire ranges from rock, to blues and jazz. Paul is expanding his venues from the Denver Metro Area to other areas of Colorado and neighboring states with plans for more national venues.
